LCAP

Local Control Accountability Plan

This page contains information about Oceanside Unified School District's Local Control Accountability Plan or LCAP.

In 2013, the State of California adopted a new funding system that provides a uniform funding level for every student in California. At the same time, it provides additional revenue to serve students with the greatest needs such as our English language learners, children from low-income families, and foster youth.

Under the new formula, school districts must create a Local Control Accountability Plan that sets goals for student achievement and describes how the district will use its budget to achieve those goals, paying particular attention to traditionally underserved student populations. In developing these plans, districts must get input from parents, staff, students and the community.

2018-2020 LCAP

The Oceanside Unified School District 2018-2020 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) draft was updated based on a review of data and stakeholder input regarding progress towards the identified goals.  The LCAP was adopted by the Board of Education on June 26, 2018.

2018 LCAP Update

Oceanside Unified School District gathered input from parents, guardians, community members, students, teachers and staff about what we are doing well and what we can do to better ensure the success of all students. The information gathered will be used to improve your child’s school and all schools in the Oceanside Unified School District.

Thank you for participating in the survey and discussion forums.  Your input and feedback is critical to the success of our schools and in helping all our students become college and career ready. The feedback you gave will be used to improve your school as well as to help us revised our Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
