Honorary Diploma Program

The Oceanside Unified School District’s Honorary Diploma program was created to recognize former OUSD students who attended an OUSD high school but, for whatever reason, did not graduate but went on to complete their adult high school diploma or GED.

These students are now eligible to receive an honorary diploma from the OUSD high school of their choice. Students wishing to apply for a Honorary Diploma must complete an application and  provide proof of their GED or Adult Education Diploma/Certificate.

Click here to download an application. The deadline to submit applications and GED or Adult High School Diploma for 2017 consideration is Friday, May 5 2017.

For recipients wishing to participate, Honorary Diplomas will be handed out at ceremony the Oceanside Unified School District Board of Education meeting on June 13 at 6 p.m. The ceremony is voluntary. Recipients who do not wish to participate in the ceremony, Honorary Diplomas will be sent in the mail.

  • March 15: Applications available
  • May 5: Application and proof of GED or Adult High School Diploma due
  • June 13: Honorary Diploma Ceremony at Oceanside Unified School District Board of Education meeting at 6 p.m.
