SAT and ACT registration

Juniors! Students who are thinking about going to a College or University after high school should take the SAT or ACT. ECHS Counselors recommend that all Juniors register for a Spring SAT or ACT test. The first opportunity Juniors have to take a college admission test is the January 21st SAT. Registration deadline is December 20th. Fee waivers for students in free and reduced lunch are available in the Counseling Office. Register before December 20th by going online to SAT.ORG.

Non Traditional Education

Non Traditional Education: providing opportunities for students to participate in both individual and small group study sessions.

Blending traditional school and independent study to create a format to meet the needs of every student.

Students will find challenging online and on campus academic courses meeting the needs of the 21st century.

Our centers offer a highly supportive environment in which students receive individualized attention.  The centers focus on academic acceleration and  credit recovery for students  Students may participate in online lessons, receive technology assistance, and take part in regularly scheduled study sessions. All courses are standards-based. All student work is reviewed and assessed by a highly qualified teacher during regularly scheduled weekly meetings.

We tailor education to meet each student’s individual needs. Offering courses that are:

  • A-G
  • UC Approved

Contract Learning:  UC Options with weekly meetings

Direct Instruction:  Modified curriculum with on campus class meetings

Credit Recovery:  Individualized  instruction

How to Enroll

Students, parents or counselors may request admissions to the non traditional educational setting. The intake process involves the student’s counselor, teacher, parent and the student.

Enrollment is available throughout the school year to establish the Independent Study contract that best meets the students educational needs
